But if you're going to venture into the world of the perfect slice, make sure you do it the right way.
A study by Remitly reveals that there is in fact a right way to eat a slice of pizza in New York City, and there's also a very, very, wrong way.

According to Remitly, New Yorkers see eating a slice of pizza with a knife and fork as an "unforgivable" act.
Instead, when it comes to eating a classic slice of New York style pizza, you've got to do it with your hands, no matter how messy it might be.
And if your argument is that New York style pizza is too floppy and the slices are simply too large to be able to eat it with your hands, just watch how the locals do it.
New York local, Jeremy Jacobowitz took to TikTok when he heard the news that tourists were struggling when it came to eating a pizza slice.

"I can't believe I actually have to make this video," he said. "But there's only one proper way to eat pizza, let me tell you why."
