Macca's fans divided as cult-fave dessert returns without its better half
The Crème Brûlée Pie is back at Macca's from April 29, but don't get too excited just yet.
While the fan-favourite dessert is set to make triumphant return, its partner-in-crime, the Crème Brûlée McFlurry, will not.
Aussie food blogger Nectorious Papi leaked the return on social media earlier this week, with McDonald's Australia confirming the news to nine.com.au: "It's official – Macca's iconic Crème Brûlée Pie is back on menus nationwide from 29 April, for a limited time."

"Priced at just $2, it rejoins our Loose Change Menu, which features fan‑favourite menu items priced at $4 and under – making it easy for customers to enjoy the items they love for less.
"Fans can look forward to biting into that golden, crispy crust filled with sweet caramel and smooth vanilla custard goodness."
However, the partial return of the popular dessert range has left fast food fans feeling conflicted about the news.

"They need to bring the McFlurry back with it," one follower commented, to which Nectorious Papi suggested: "Just buy a plain one bro and dunk it."
"About time! They should bring back the Banana Caramel one too," one Maccas fan suggested.
"I've waited a lifetime for this to come back," added another.
McDonald's Crème Brûlée dessert menu items were first released in 2022 and quickly became one of the fast food giant's most popular new dessert additions.
The McDonald's Crème Brûlée Pie, which looks similar to their famous Apple Pie, is made using the chain's famous crispy pie pastry filled with custard and caramel sauce, which is described as having a burnt caramel flavour.
It is served hot, just like the famous Hot Apple Pie, and is made using the same crispy pastry shell.
The Hot Apple Pie sells for $2, and the Crème Brûlée Pie is expected to be priced similarly when it returns. When they were first released in 2022, both pies cost $1.50.

For those who simply can't live without the Crème Brûlée McFlurry, it is easy enough to construct.
The treat was made using vanilla soft serve, broken up pieces of the Crème Brûlée Pie and Caramel Sundae sauce.
As Nectorious Papi suggested, you can buy a plain McFlurry and dunk the pie in it, or you can order a Caramel Sundae and dunk it in that!

Maccas Crème Brûlée Pie and McFlurry were deemed one of McDonald's Australia's "best ever limited releases" by customers on Reddit's 'Australian Nostalgia' thread.
Also making this list are the McRib, Shaker Fries, and the original El Maco.
McDonald's recently discontinued their chocolate soft serve, as of March 31.
A spokesperson for McDonald's Australia told nine.com.au at the time: "At Macca's, we're committed to serving great tasting, great value food that Aussies know and love.
"We regularly review and evolve our menu to keep it exciting and focused on what matters most to our customers.

"As part of this review, we've said goodbye to the Chocolate Soft Serve across restaurants nationwide from 31 March 2026.
"But here's the good news: there's still plenty of delicious desserts to enjoy. From our iconic Soft Serve, McFlurry and Sundae flavours, we've got you covered.
"We'll keep listening to feedback and exploring new ways to bring more of what our customers love to menus across Australia."
