Macca's confirms Grimace is finally coming Down Under
McDonald's Australia has confirmed exciting news for customers after months of rumours.
Grimace is on the way to Australia!
The infamous Grimace Shake is the most exciting of the products set to hit stores. The shake is purple, just like Grimace, and is a delicious blend of vanilla ice cream, frozen blueberries, strawberry jam, milk and cream.

It is described by McDonald's as an "explosion of flavour, embodying everything Australia's purple best friend stands for – good vibes, fun times and his vibrant purple colour, topped with a whirl of whipped cream."
McDonald's hinted at the exciting range on their official social media channels.
The Grimace Shake will be available as a single-item purchase or as part of the Grimace Meal with a choice of Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets from October 4.

"Grimace has been making fuzzy waves around the globe and now it's our turn to celebrate. We thought there was no better way to channel the energy of our lovable pal than by bringing you the Grimace Shake," Amanda Nakad, Marketing Director for McDonald's Australia said in a statement.
"The Grimace Shake is fun, vibrant and bursting with flavour. It's a tribute to Grimace and the joy he's brought to Macca's fans over the years. So buckle up – we're finally giving Aussies what they've been waiting for and we know they're going to LOVE it."
Grimace made his first appearance for McDonald's in 1971 as part of the McDonaldland campaign, as Ronald McDonald's best friend.
He wasn't seen for a number of years until until 2012 when he returned to Malaysia as a Happy Meal toy and then in the US in 2020 as part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Rumours of a new product range in his honour began in 2023 to mark his birthday on June 12, with the Grimace limited-edition shake offered in some stores alongside merchandise and a browser game.
This latest range of Grimace products including the infamous shake will also be limited-edition.
