Man's 'game changing' egg-in-a-hole toaster hack viewed 15.4 million times
An Australian man's hack for a two-in-one breakfast has been dubbed "genius" and a "game changer".
In a now-viral TikTok, the Canadian-based Aussie offers a twist on the classic egg-in-a-hole recipe, featuring an indulgent solution to the usual bread waste — and critics are praising it online.
TikTok user Stewart Timothy (@stewarttimothy) shared the homemade dish tutorial, which begins as a normal egg-in-a-hole recipe.

Before cutting out the egg 'holes' in the slices of bread, the cook does something remarkable.

Placing a single piece of chocolate in the centre of one piece of bread, he then layers the top slice, and uses a narrow drinking glass to cut a neat circle out of the centre, to make room for the egg to go.
By cutting it in this way, the chocolate becomes sealed between the two slices.

He then pops the chocolate pocket straight into the toaster.
Meanwhile, he cooks the egg-in-a-hole dish as normal, cracking an egg into each hole, frying on both sides, and seasoning with paprika, salt and pepper.
He concludes by pulling apart the toasted chocolate sandwich, which now contains molten chocolate in the centre.
Stewart did warn against using more than one piece of chocolate in the hack, adding "it might pop in the toaster and go everywhere".
The clever clip has already amassed more than 15.4 million views on the platform.
Viewers have been going wild for the simple chocolate addition, with comments ranging from "This is genius!" and "Oh my god my eyes have been opened" to "Doing this tomorrow".
"First time I seen someone use all the bread," one impressed viewer wrote.

One TikToker added: "You can make two delicious food with 2 [plain] piece of bread."
"This is a game changer," another weighed in, with a fourth agreeing: "I love love love that you didn't waste the rest of the bread. It's so wasteful to throw that away".
While many admitted to successfully trying the recipe — or wanting to try it — some users expressed very valid safety concerns around putting chocolate in a toaster.
"I wanna try that chocolate and bread thing now but I'm terrified it will fail and just put melted chocolate in my toaster," one viewer wrote.
"Imagine if the chocolate leaks," another agreed.
It's not the only viral food trend to make toaster owner's nervous.
