Australian MP Dave Sharma mocked for his 'criminal' attempt at lasagne

An Australian Liberal MP has been mocked online after posting his burnt attempt at making lasagne for dinner.

Dave Sharma, a federal MP from Wentworth, shared an image of his Italian-style meal on Instagram, with the lasagne sheets charred to a crisp.

The photo, posted to Sharma's Instagram story, circulated on Twitter and users were quick to joke about the father-of-three's cooking skills.

"If I was running a campaign against Dave Sharma, I would simply hand out flyers on election day with this cursed image on it. This is a lasagne crime," one Twitter user said.

"This is a food hate crime."

Another added: "That looks how I used to make lasagne — before I realised I had no idea how to make lasagne."

"Is this a bit? Is Dave Sharma doing a bit? He must be doing a bit, the alternative doesn't bear contemplating," one shocked woman wrote.

"That looks almost as awful as Morrison's curries," another joked.
