What I ate

I tried EveryPlate's new taco range, which is designed for Aussies who want satisfying Mexican nights (hello, me) without crazy prices or laborious prep time (also me!).

The limited-edition taco-themed 'Tacochella' is an upgrade on the universally adored Taco-Tuesday weekday dinner. With beef, chicken, tofu, veggies, and fish options, there's something for everyone.

What I liked

Convenience: I love a meal delivery kit because it makes the week easier, particularly when I have a busy schedule. Even though I cook for one, sometimes the admin eats into my days too much. EveryPlate helps save time faffing around in the evenings thinking of what to make.

Big money saver: I ordered three meals for two people, which cost $57.93, including delivery. Considering my weekly food shop usually costs around $120, that's pretty good for three dinners and three leftover lunches.

Speedy: Given the minimal effort required to make the meals, I had them from ingredients to a full meal in about 20 minutes.

Simple: If you're happy to keep your weeknight dinners pretty plain and simple, EveryPlate does just that.

Options: With over 35 recipes to choose from per week, there's always something you'll be happy with.

Flexibility: You can pause or cancel your subscription whenever you want – whether you've changed your mind, or are simply overseas for the week.

Something to be mindful of...

The only downside I found was that I personally like more adventurous meals. While one of the upsides is the ease of the meals, I'm more inclined to order something I wouldn't necessarily make myself, and have slightly more exciting meals.

That said, if simplicity is your priority, then look no further.

Is it worth it?

The EveryPlate subscription is very well priced, especially compared to other options on the market. If you want simple, flexible, and affordable meals, then EveryPlate would be a great option for you and your household.
