If you've been on TikTok anytime in the last few months, you're sure to have heard of Dubai chocolate.

The sweet treat has taken over social media with those able to get their hands on a block displaying its gooey deliciousness for the rest of the world to drool over.

For those who don't know, it's essentially a block of milk chocolate filled with pistachio cream and toasted kadayif, a shredded pastry common in Turkish and Middle Eastern desserts.

But unfortunately for us Aussies, it's proven difficult to get our hands on it locally.

The Guardian reports the trend has even been blamed for a worldwide pistachio shortage, and Delicious writes that eager Aussies, desperate to recreate the treat at home, have sold stores out of kadayif (otherwise known as kataifi).

But in good news for Aussies, the trend has finally come to our shores – Dubai chocolate is now available in Australia.

Lindt Dubai Inspired Chocolate is the first of its kind commercially available on our shores, and it hits shelves today – but it comes with a hefty price tag.

The chocolate bar will be available exclusively in Lindt Chocolate Stores, and it's going to set you back $20 a pop.

The 9honey team scored a preview of the product so, of course, we had to put it to the test to see if Dubai chocolate really lives up to the hype (and the price).

Now, believe us when we say this chocolate is delicious.

If you, like many others around Australia, are all for the new pistachio trend (move over, hazelnut) you're going to love this.

One of our team members took one bit and described the chocolate as "dangerous".

"I could see myself eating the whole bar," she added.

Most agreed the chocolate is the perfect blend of flavours, with the kadayif adding just the right amount of crunch and a delicious toasty flavour.

And while there weren't many negative comments, there were some minor improvements suggested.

"If I had one complaint, I do wish it was a little bit thicker," one member of our team mentioned.

"I've seen the videos of the Dubai chocolate and they're big, chunky bars, and I just think it would add to the experience to have more of that filling, more of that crunch."

The only minor improvement suggested is that it could be a little heavier on the fillings.  Nine

Overall, though, it was thoroughly enjoyed with only one person rating it below a 9/10.

The treat is available exclusively at Lindt Chocolate shops from today May 6, but it's only going to be around for a limited time!
