Controversial change to Drumstick ice-cream
Peter's Drumstick ice-creams have undergone a change that may not please traditional lovers of the summer treat.
We all remember the ads where ice-cream lovers were encouraged to take the first bite out of the bottom of the waffle cone which is embedded with rich, chocolate before enjoying the ice-cream at the top.
Now Drumstick has announced it has doubled the amount of chocolate at the bottom of two varieties of it's product which may make it difficult to take the first bite out of the waffle cone.

With extra chocolate, it's going to require a much larger bite and half the waffle cone gone before the ice-cream is enjoyed, with on hotter days may leave the ice-cream melting all over our hands.
But if having ice-cream melting all over our hands isn't an iconic Australian summer experience, I don't know what is.
It comes in two, delicious flavours. Peters
The new product is called the Drumstick 'Mega Tip' and it is out in two scrumptious flavours - Choc, Peanut & Caramel and Honey Macadamia.
Choc, Peanut & Caramel "marries chocolate and peanut in frozen harmony with gooey caramel syrup and crushed peanuts swirled throughout". It's topped off with more peanuts and caramel on top, with an extra-large choccy tip.

Honey Macadamia is filled with "caramelised honey syrup swirled through frozen creamy macadamia, with crushed macadamias on top" and of course, the mega choccy tip.
The packaging has also undergone a redesign, with Australian artist James Gulliver Hancock collaborating with Drumstick to create an illustrative wallpaper, capturing the spirit of all things Aussie and summer.

The illustration now features as the background of the new packaging, connecting Drumstick even closer to its summer roots. There's also a shiny new all-gold logo on debut too.
The new Mega Tip flavours are available in a four pack, with Choc, Peanut & Caramel also in a single cone so you can snack your own way. The RRP for a four-pack is $8.40 at supermarkets and the Choc, Peanut & Caramel single cone is $4.20 in petrol, convenience and independent retailers.
You can get them at Coles, Woolies, independent retailers and your local servo.
