Donut wall wedding trend will earn you major guest points

Some brides have taken the term "put a ring on it" to a whole new delicious level, replacing the traditional wedding cake with walls of artfully frosted and fried rings—aka donuts—and we couldn't be more pleased.

Some like their wedding cakes towering and white, some rippling with crystals and geodes, but we predict walls of dangling donuts are going to be the modern bride's dessert de jour throughout the remainder of 2016.

Currently, there are almost 1200 posts on Instagram for the #donutwall, with all manner of colourful hues and cleverly themed arrangements to drool over and give you some donut-spiration.

From poppy pastel rings peppered across black tool boards to rainbow ring displays and stunningly embellished donuts mounted on elegant wooden walls, the donut display options are seemingly endless.
