Domino's newest menu item is a pizza invented by a 16-year-old Queensland student
A new pizza has hit Domino's menus across Australia, and it's one that's extra close to the chain's heart.
That's because it was created by 16-year-old student Riley, whose Sweet and Saucy Pizza won a company-wide competition and is now available in stores nationwide.
"I started working at Domino's when I was 14, and the past two years have been awesome," Riley – who won a $2000 cash prize for his culinary innovation – says.

"I've learned so much about teamwork and what it's like to have a job – it's definitely helping me get ready for the future," the teen from Innisfail, on Queensland's Cassowary Coast, continues.
"I'm hoping to join the Queensland Police one day."
Domino's called on staff in stores across Australia to submit their unique pizza creations for its inaugural Team Member Appreciation Day, with one lucky team member's idea being chosen to feature on the menu for a limited time only.
Riley's creation, which is available to order in stores, online or through the Domino's app from March 10 to March 16, was inspired by his passion for hot sauce.
Featuring crispy rasher bacon, pepperoni and seasoned chicken, Riley's Sweet and Saucy Pizza is topped off with Hickory BBQ sauce and Frank's Hot Sauce.
"I love hot sauce – on sandwiches, wings, eggs, you name it. But especially pizza! That's why I decided to mix Frank's Hot Sauce with our Seasoned Chicken to create this recipe," Riley says.

"And Domino's actually let me do it! They take quality seriously but also let us be creative, which I really enjoy," Riley continues.
"Knowing that millions of Aussies are going to be eating a pizza, I came up with is so cool! There's no way any of my friends' jobs would let them do something like this!"
"Heroing a team member's favourite pizza creation and putting it centre stage on our menu? That's our way of celebrating the incredible people behind the counter," Domino's ANZ CEO Kerri Hayman says.

"After all, great pizza brings people together – and who better to create it than the people who live and breathe it?"
Domino's customers are used to trying new things, so much so that the chain revealed last year all the bizarre orders they'd ever received, including "monstrous creation" The Popeye.
