Today he's a Grammy-winning artist but he once spent his days flipping Big Macs.

"McDonald's was my first and only job," Pharrell Williams recently told BBC Radio 2.

"I got fired three times. I was eating the chicken nuggets."

Williams said the first two times he got fired from the fast food chain were simply because he was "lazy."

"The third was like, 'What are you doing? You're just sitting there eating nuggets?'" he added.

Vice President Kamala Harris, started out her career working at Macca's.

She recently opened up about her time at the fast food chain on The Drew Barrymore Show.

"I did work at McDonald's when I was in school... I did fries, and then I did the cashier," she laughed, before sharing what she would order if she hit up the drive-thru today.

"I would probably do a Quarter Pounder with cheese and fries," she added.

In 2019, Harris addressed a crowd of supporters in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a speech fighting for liveable wages and safe working environments.

Harris compared her part-time job at the chain restaurant as a teen to Americans who are supporting a family on that same pay.

"I worked in McDonald's. I was a student when I was working in McDonalds," she said.

"There was not a family relying on me to pay the rent, put food on the table and keep the bills paid by the end of the month."

"There was not a family relying on me to pay the rent, put food on the table and keep the bills paid by the end of the month.

"But the reality of McDonald's is that a majority of the folks who are working there today are relying on that income to sustain a household and a family," Harris continued.

"And if we want to talk about these golden arches being a symbol of the best of America, well the arches are falling short."

The Notebook actress also worked at the popular fast food chain as a teen.

In a 2008 interview with the New York Times, Rachel McAdams shared that she worked at McDonald's for three years but wasn't sure how she held her position for so long.

"I'm not sure why they kept me. I am something of a daydreamer and a dawdler, so they would only let me be the 'friendly voice' that greeted you when you entered the restaurant," she shared.

"I was slow – I would be organising the sweet-and-sour packets in the customer's takeout bag while the line snaked out the door."
