Freebie alert: BWS is giving away 20,000 six-packs of beer, starting today

BWS is celebrating the end of lockdowns and beginning of summer by giving away 20,000 six packs of beer.

From today, October 8, when customers buy to six packs of XXXX Dry or James Squire Zero, they will receive the second one free.

"Lockdowns and restrictions have made us long for those much-needed social interactions," says BWS head of marketing Vanessa Rowed.

"But there is light at the end of the tunnel, and we are celebrating by encouraging Aussies to get together and share drinks with their mates."

To redeem the free beers, customers need to register an account on the BWS website. They then need to add two six-packs of the specified beers to the cart, upon which the discount will automatically be applied.

This offer is online only and only available for pickup or delivery.

"We chose these two brews as they're perfect to share and great for the warmer weather. XXXX DRY is a refreshing, full-strength lager, while James Squire Zero is a full-flavoured non-alcoholic beer option," says Rowed.

BWS is also encouraging customers to share who they are looking forward to having a drink with on social media, using the hashtag #cantwaitmate.
