Estella Young, IGA/Metcash Executive General Manager Merchandise, says that the 2024 Christmas collection will be loved by all Australians and hopes it will make this holiday season extra special.
"This festive season we want to remind our customers that shopping local not only supports the community but provides value, range and ease. With our amazing new Community Co Christmas products, plus our wide range of entertaining options, IGA has it all for shoppers this Christmas."
The entire festive menu comes in at $88, which leaves some extra in the budget to put towards the meal's garnishes such as fresh fruit or herbs.
Entrees
For a decadent entree option, IGA suggests making cream cheese balls for $12 using Black & Gold Cream Cheese 250g, a few pieces of an IGA Christmas ham and Black & Gold sweet chilli sauce 700ml.
IGA's budget menu also includes garlic bread bruschetta using a Black & Gold garlic bread twin pack and four gourmet tomatoes.
Mains
Is it really Christmas without a delicious ham stealing the spotlight?
IGA is offering its naturally smoked leg ham bone, which is locally sourced to support Aussie farmers.
The award-winning ham is the perfect centrepiece for every Christmas event at $8 per kg.
To elevate the dish, IGA recommends using whole cloves and a jar of Community Co marmalade for a simple recipe to glaze any Christmas ham.

Dessert
The dessert options at IGA are endless, including a classic three-ingredient fruit cake for adults using Black & Gold self raising flour 1kg, Black & Gold orange fruit drink 2L and Black & Gold dried mixed fruit 1kg.
"Soak the mixed dried fruit overnight in the juice. This releases the natural sweetness and prevents the need to add additional sugar.
"The next morning, preheat the oven to 125C. Line a 22cm cake tin with baking paper. Stir self-raising flour through the mixture. Spoon the mixture into the cake tin. Bake for 2.5 hours or until a skewer removes clean."
