At what is said to be one of the world's largest and most influential wine competitions, the Beresford Emblem Fiano managed to take out a 95-point gold medal as well as the number one spot in the Fiano category.

The award-winning white wine was up against bottles upwards of $100, but it managed to take the crown with a retail price of just $25.

"We are witnessing the remarkable growth of Fiano in McLaren Vale, 22 years since the Lloyd family planted the first Fiano vine," said Beresford Wines Head Winemaker, Chris Dix. "The unique climate of the McLaren Vale region fosters wines of aromatic richness and textural depth, and this Fiano genuinely reflects that journey.

"Having our Fiano recognised on such a prestigious platform is a proud moment for our team," he added. "It defies convention and showcases the diverse potential of Australian viticulture for Mediterranean varietals."

The award winning Fiano features tasting notes of Jasmine and honeysuckle mingling with green apple, nashi pear and white peach.
