With the cost of living getting higher and higher everyday, it's getting harder and harder to justify the little luxuries – like a takeaway coffee on the way in to work.

Thankfully working from home has lessened the burden a little and we can still afford to treat ourselves.

We asked the 9Honey team how much they spend on their weekly coffees and some of the results are staggering.

Pod machine.

Any café/coffee recommendations?

I never tried plant-based milk until I became lactose intolerant but I so wish I had tried it earlier, so I recommend trying plant-based milks in your coffee.

Depends! Usually around $4 at my local cafés in Sydney's Inner West.

How many times do you get it per week?

I drink coffee every day, but I only buy a coffee when I'm on my way to work. Currently, that's twice a week, and I'll make a black coffee at home in the mornings the other three days.

What is your regular coffee order?

I'll change it up but my go-to is an iced mocha – basic, I know, but you can never go wrong with it.

How much is it?

Around $5.50 at my regular café, which is a bargain in my opinion.

How many times do you get it per week?

Twice per week when I come into the office.

What is your WFH coffee situation (if it's different from your weekly routine)?

I recently bought a pod coffee machine after months of deliberating because I was so sick of instant coffee. Now I'm trying out every variation of flavoured hot and cold drinks (but they're still not the same as the ones from the cafés 😔).
