Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is officially cancelled
It's official! The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will not return in 2019 after months of speculation.
L Brands — Victoria's Secret's parent company — confirmed the news on Thursday stating that the importance of the brand's evolution is the focus.
"We think it's important to evolve the marketing of Victoria's Secret," L Brands CEO Stu Burdoerfer said during an earnings call.
"We will be communicating to customers, but nothing that I would say is similar in magnitude to the Fashion Show.
"But you can be sure we will communicate to customers through lots of vehicles including social media and various more current platforms.
"It was a very important part of the brand building of this business and was an important aspect of the brand and a remarkable marketing achievement."

The 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion show was the brand's last. The same show also had its lowest ratings of all time, proving that supermodels strutting in lingerie had grown tiresome among viewers.
Georgia Fowler and Shanina Shaik both hinted at the news a few months ago in separate interviews.
"It's disappointing it's not going to happen this year — but who knows what will happen," Fowler revealed in an interview with the Daily Telegraph in October.
"It's something I'm not used to because every year around this time I'm training like an angel," Shaik told the the same publication back in July.
In the show's 24-year history it has seen the likes of Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Tyra Banks, Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid walk the runway as Angels and models. Miranda Kerr, Georgia Fowler and Shanina Shaik were among the Aussies who also walked the pink runway.
Where to next for the lingerie giant? Time will tell.
