With some debuting for the first time, and other familiar faces appearing on the red carpet, here are the celebs who didn't attend the 2023 fashion fest.

Meghan Markle

Despite rumours that Meghan Markle might show up on the red carpet, the Duchess of Sussex has prolonged the wait for her first ever debut at the Met Gala and skipped out this year.
It's unclear if the royal was invited.
Lady Gaga

Although Lady Gaga has not attended the Met Gala for four years now, fans were still anticipating for the Born This Way singer to show up on the red carpet.
Her last Met Gala appearance at the 2019 event is so memorable that it's expected that people would be keen on the star attending.

Harry Styles

The singer is not one to shy away from making a statement, becoming a boundary-pushing fashion force over the years, causing fans to anticipate his arrival on the red carpet.
To their disappointment, the singer and fashion icon never showed.
Lily-Rose Depp

Kaia Gerber and Bella Hadid
Kaia Gerber stunned fans at the Met Gala in 2022 with her chic style and glorious hair, but was nowhere to be seen on this year's red carpet.
