Aussie stars shine at the 2025 Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards as Pia Whitesell and Sam Armytage lead arrivals

Australia is blesed with some incredible women doing incredible work both in the public eye and behind the scenes.

Last night, Marie Claire brought some of those magnificent women together for the Marie Claire Women Of The Year Awards ceremony.

Some of Australia's most famous women were in attendance at the esteemed event including Pia Whitesell, Sam Armytage and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Pia Whitesell

Aussie model, Home and Away star and TV presenter Pia Whitesell was on the guest list.

She showed up to the event wearing a stunning black gown with cutouts at the shoulder and the leg.

Her brunette waves cascaded over her shoulders as she posed for photos at the event.

Samantha Armytage

Fresh off the back of hosting the first season of Nine's The Golden Bachelor, TV host Samantha Armytage made an appearance at the esteemed event.

She opted for a tailored white jacket which she paired with a long back skirt and a black purse.

Melissa Doyle

Another TV star, Melissa Doyle attended the event opting for another all-black look.

The TV presenter and author wore an assymetrical black down with one cape-style sleeve.

She completed the look with some strappy heels and a black handbag.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte

Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who recently reprised her role in her one-woman show Shirley Valentine last month, opted for a satin-look brown dress for the occasion.

She paired the statement dress with a black bag and matching heels.

The Aussie actress also recently revealed her engagement to her partner Pip Loth.

All the stars on and off the runway as New York Fashion Week 2025 kicks off

Em Rusciano attended the event in a stunning black gown with a nomination for the evening up her sleeve.

The Aussie comedian, singer and podcaster was nominated for the Voice of Now award which ultimately went to Rohingya refugee and human rights activist Noor Azizah.

Melissa Leong

Australian food writer, food critic and TV host Melissa Leong was also nominated for the Voice of Now award.

She opted for a draping white gown which she paired with some silver jewellery.

Noor Azizah

Azizah, who ultimately took home the Voice of Now award attended the event in a show-stopping red.

The gown featured draping details that flowed all the way to the floor.

She completed the award-winning look with a red lip and a simple gold chain.

Molly Picklum

Aussie sporting star Molly Picklum was also in attendance at the event.

The world champion surfer opted for a high-neck black dress with a sash detail.

She attended the ceremony with a nomination for The Champion category which she ultimately took home.

Emma McKeon

Molly wasn't the only champion athlete in attendance.

Australia's most decorated Olympian made an appearance at the event opting for a two piece black ensemble with gold details.

McKeon's attendance comes a year after she took home The Icon Of The Year award at last year's Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards ceremony.

Ada Nicodemou

Aussie actress Ada Nicodemou also opted for red at the ceremony.

Her detailed red gown featured sequin-look details that glimmered among the camera flashes.
