May is a busy time for royal wedding anniversaries, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Denmark's Princess Mary and Prince Frederik, and Spain's King Felipe and Queen Letizia all celebrating marriage milestones this month.

Over the weekend it was Lady Gabriella Windsor who had cause for celebration.

May 18 marked one year since the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, Queen Elizabeth's cousin, wed Thomas Kingston in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

In honour of the couple's first wedding anniversary, 9Honey Style is taking a look back on Gabriella's wedding day style — two dresses and all.

The bridal gown

Lady Gabriella's dress and veil were created by Italian designer and family friend Luisa Beccaria.

The long-sleeved lace gown featured delicate embroidery of flowers and buds, with a rounded neckline and fitted bodice.

Beccaria told Town and Country its long train was inspired by the dress worn by Gabriella's grandmother Princess Marina of Greece when she wed Prince George, Duke of Kent.

"The front of the dress is quite pure and fluid, while the back of the dress is more dramatic—the skirt fans out into a long train," she added.

"There is a light tulle corset that holds the dress's strapless part. The sleeves are transparent lace doubled with pink tulle."

"I'm so lucky to have my dream dress," Gabriella said of her wedding outfit. AAP

Beccaria designed a total of four outfits for Gabriella's wedding celebrations — the ceremony, the reception, the end of the evening's celebrations, and brunch the next morning.

"I've been in love with Luisa Beccaria dresses for a long time and I'm so lucky to have my dream dress designed by her," the royal bride later said.

"She and her team are exceptional and I'm thrilled with the stunning result of the artistry."

The tiara

Gabriella wore the Kent City of London Fringe Tiara, which her mother Princess Michael of Kent — formerly Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz — wore on her wedding day.

The headpiece was a wedding gift from the City of London to Gabriella's grandmother Princess Marina in 1934, though The Court Jeweller notes she chose a different tiara for her wedding day.

Marina wore the fringe tiara to a number of special events, including the coronation of King George VI — Queen Elizabeth's father — in 1937.

Her daughter Princess Alexandra also wore it to her wedding in 1963.

Like fellow royal brides Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie, Lady Gabriella changed out of her wedding dress for the post-ceremony celebrations.

For her evening soiree at Frogmore House, Gabriella wore a floor-length sleeveless white tulle dress with a V-shaped neckline.

The design featured mother of pearl embroidery and shoulder trains.

Photos of the dress emerged on Instagram, but pictures of Gabriella's other two wedding outfits have not surfaced, so we'll just have to use our imaginations.
