TikTok dad reveals simple trick that will get your kids to listen

The frustration of your child not listening to you is something every parent has felt at least a few times.

One dad has now shared a parenting hack that he says will ensure your child hears what you are saying - and it couldn't be more simple.

Devonte Bennett Bey shared a video on TikTok showing how he communicates with his young son. Bennett Bey, who posts on the account @TheyCallMePapaBennett, is seen going from standing to squatting down so his face is at his son's eye level.

"When I come to this level I show them I am powerful because of my ability to communicate," a caption on the video reads.

Viewers have praised the dad's caring approach to parenting. Bennett Bey told Fox he knows his children feel more loved when he speaks to them at their eye level.

"I've noticed that when I talk to them at their level they respond better," he said.

"When I'm at their eye level I can make eye contact better and they can better receive my loving energy and vibrations."
