In a voiceover, she then explains how she holds her baby so she can burp.

"One hand pressed against her back for straight posture, the other one under their chin, for an open airway."

After a few moments, the baby lets out a deep, loud burp.

In the video caption, the mum adds: "Goodbye back pats. This works every time & makes her burp like a full-grown man."

Filming her flat palm against her daughter's back, Reyes says in the video, "I'm just holding my hand firmly against her spine, so it's straight.

"And then I'm holding my hand underneath her chin, because she can't hold up her head yet, she's only a few months old."

"The instant relief lol," another joked.

"I'm a midwife and this is what [I] teach people. It works. Back pats do nothing lol," a third person commented.

In response, Reyes wrote: "No one at the hospital taught me this! Glad you're spreading the word."

One mum shared: "I set mine up like this and slightly bounced my knee. Worked every time. And If they spew, it goes in the floor. Not my shoulder."
