Turia Pitt talks candidly about her two 'very different' birth experiences
Turia Pitt is the proud mum of two young boys, Hakavai, 4, and Rahiti, 2.
The author, inspirational bushfire survivor and 9Honey parenting columnist has shared a candid (and hilarious) account of her two very different birth experiences.
"With Hakavai, I was two days overdue and had already tried bushwalking and a massage to get things moving," Turia reveals. "So I made an eggplant parmigiana and I was sitting on the couch next to Michael when I let out this massive fart. "He was like, 'Oh darl' and I just started laughing uncontrollably."

"Then I felt this pop and water gushing down my leg and I said, 'OMG my waters just broke and Michael said calmly (ever the pragmatist), 'I think you might have just wet yourself darl'."
Sure enough, Turia's waters had broken and the couple calmly made their way to the hospital, which was a two-hour drive away.
However, Hakavai's entry into the world the following day was not without drama.
The birth of her second son Rahiti, who had to be induced, was "very different".
