WordFinderX set out to find what the most mispronounced names are across the globe and went through Nameberry to pull a list of 12,786 names and their origins.
Then using Forvo, a website that helps people learn how to pronounce words with playable audio clips, they searched for names.
They found that some of the most commonly mispronounced names in the world are among the most simple.

The Hebrew name David has been listened to 339,000 times.
In English it's pronounced "day-vid", but according to the Hebrew pronounciation it is "dah-weed".

Despite it only being four letters, this English, Hebrew and French name is commonly mispronounced, with 343,000 listens.
In English it is commonly pronounced "ay-nn", while French speakers pronounced it "ah-nn".

The classic Aramaic name Thomas can be pronounced many ways, with 344,000 listens in total.
