Inside Michael Phelps' family life, as the proud dad soaks up the Olympics with his baby son by his side
Olympian Michael Phelps has been enjoying watching the Paris Olympics from the sidelines this year, but it's his adorable son who's stolen the show.
The 23-time Olympic gold medalist and wife Nicole have been soaking up all the action with their newest addition, Nico, and it looks like they're all enjoying it.
In one carousel of snaps titled "baby's first rave", the eight-month-old is seen enjoying all the fun of the event, even donning a beret for one outing.

While Phelps is known for being an incredible athlete, it's his role of dad that's been shining from the stands this year.
Nico has been appropriately dressed in patriotic red white and blue looks – some featuring the iconic stars the USA is known for – and perched proudly on his dad's lap as they watch on.

From taking a good look at a medal to watching the swimming or courtside, the moment is a special one for Phelps as a dad.
It seems fatherhood has become one of his most special roles after retiring from competitive swimming.
He's dad to sons Boomer, eight, Beckett, six, Maverick, four, and of course baby Nico and often shares their family moments online.
Turns out it's the simple parts of having a family which bring him the most joy too.

Speaking to People in 2021, he explained his favourite routine as a family is one that brings them all together.
"As a kid, I always wanted to have dinner as a family but with my parents separated, that didn't happen often," Phelps said at the time.
"I love how we have dinner every night together at the same exact time."
It's also an important part of the routine Phelps has developed to help him manage his depression, which at times has been so severe that he's contemplated suicide.
"Depression is something that will always be part of my life – it's part of who I am," he said, whose Michael Phelps Foundation provides wellness programming to youth around the world.
Michael and Nicole Phelps got engaged in 2015 and married in 2016.
Now eight years later they're proud parents to four boys, enjoying every bit of family life and sharing the highlights with their fans on social media.
