Karl Stefanovic gets daughter Harper in the Olympics spirit with adorable hurdles training session in Paris

It's the half-way point of Olympic Games Paris 2024, but Karl Stefanovic has already got his sights set on Brisbane 2032.

The Today Show host is in Paris as one of the hosts of Nine's coverage of The Olympics and took the opportunity to get daughter Harper in training at just four-years-old.

In an adorable video posted to Instagram, Stefanovic can be seen holding a long stick slightly higher than the ground so Harper could run and jump over it like a hurdler.

The clip is set to the Eye of the Tiger riff from the classic sports film Rocky III.

Harper looks to be having a wonderful time running and jumping with her dad, who cheered enthusiastically when she finished.

"Brisbane 2032 Le 32 m Hurdles," he captioned the post.

Stefanovic opened up about the beautiful family moment during Today in Paris.

"It's never too early to get your kids involved in Olympic sports preparation, so on the streets of Paris this morning in 900 degree heat I got little Harper out there," he said.

Today co-host Sarah Abo was impressed with the little-one's skills, telling Stefanovic "She blitzed it".

It then seemed as though Stefanovic was about to say that Harper's sporting talent came from him, but the crew sensed what he was about to say and got in first.

"She got obviously all of her athletic prowess from... are you right?" he asked as Abo started laughing at the comment mentioned off-camera.

"That was Abby our floor manager just going 'from her mother'. I mean Jaz can run," Abo explained.

Stefanovic defended his athletic ability as Abo listed off all the sports he's mentioned he's excelled in.

"You were in the soccer, you were in the basketball, you were in the water polo. What else did you do Karl?"

"I was – mum's got all the photos," Stefanovic insisted.

Segueing on from the discussion, Stefanovic said he's putting his "athletic prowess to the side and focus on the real athletes".

But Abo kept the ribbing going saying "I did the hurdles once" to which Stefanovic responded "Did you hit your head?", leaving both hosts in hysterics. You can see the hilarious – and adorable – moment above.
