Heart-stopping footage of father's fast reflexes as toddler falls out of cot head-first

Nicholas Lynch is being hailed a Super Dad after after his lightening-fast reflexes saved his son from tragedy.

The extraordinary footage was captured on the baby cam in Noah's room, as the two-year-old tried to get out of his cot and fell head-first towards the floor.

Out of nowhere the Los Angeles father is seen diving in to save his boy, catching him just mere millimetres from the floor.

"I’ve never made a rescue like that before and honestly, I don’t know if I ever wanna make another one," the hero dad told Inside Edition.

"I felt that it was pretty close when I caught him. I mean, I felt him maybe inches away from the floor.

"But after reviewing the video, it was way closer than we thought," he added.

The security footage shows little Noah sleepy-eyed and waking up, standing in his cot in the dark. 

Nicholas, who noticed his son was awake went into the room and turned on the light, just in time to see his son toppling out of the crib in his sleep suit.

Noah's dad appears to grab him by the legs and scoops him up with the pair sharing a tight hug.

The whole heart-stopping incident takes place in a matter of seconds but thankfully there was a happy outcome at the end of it.
