A mum who discovered 'creepy' messages on her baby daughter's Easter dress has revealed it has been removed from sale from at least one outlet.

Canadian mum Heather Brown shared her shock discovery on TikTok, explaining her baby daughter had been gifted the frock from her grandparents.

"This is the creepiest thing I have encountered as a mother," Brown began before explaining her discovery.

"From a quick glance, obviously you can see it's just a girl's cute Easter dress. It came with matching shorts, and she wore it multiple times around Easter time."

The pink and white dress contained cute images of bunny rabbits as well as eggs, jelly beans and baby chicks.

But it was while her daughter was napping that Brown stared reading the text on the dress.

Brown read them out in the video which has now been viewed 1.4 million times.

The messages included phrases such as: "Want to have an Easter Egg Hunt under the covers?"

Another said: "This Coupon entitles you to one free peep show!"

Other messages included one that suggested they "pretend we're rabbits and do whatever comes naturally".

Another said: "You've been the best husband and friend a girl could have ever asked for!"

Brown said her daughter's grandparents couldn't remember where they had purchased the dress from, but TikTok sleuths quickly tracked it down to multiple outlets.

The shocked mum also discovered that the print used in the dress is a free print published online that is meant for husbands, and not children's clothing.

Clearly the children's clothing designer didn't read the fine print.

In a follow up video Brown further explained the outcome of their investigations, including the fact the dress had been removed from sale at the outlets that had been contacted.

"Some people were guessing that it was a language barrier, some were saying it was on purpose, it was cruel, some said that it was stolen art ... we also found the creator of this specific print," she said.

The creator was shocked to discover her flirty print had been used for children's clothing.

"Even on her website it clearly states 'for a husband, partner, fabric' type of designs."

"The poor artist was just trying to make flirty jokes for couples, and some sick freak stole it to print it on a literal piece of children's clothing. My heart goes out to the artist and anyone blaming them for this is ridiculous," one TikToker commented.

"Wowwww, how do people not read what they sell? FOR KIDS," another said.

"Omg, that's the exact same dress that I gifted to my friend's baby last summer," one TikToker said.

"I feel so bad for the artist," another said. "I hope she isn't catching too many strays when none of this is her fault.

"Thank you for clearly stating that her website says the prints are for adults. I can't imagine how frustrating having her designs used like this without her consent must be for her. I have a feeling we will likely see more stolen designs popping up now that people are on the lookout."
