'Obsessed': New $199 Aldi buy causes fan frenzy days before landing in store

It hasn't even landed in stores yet but one new Aldi product has already caused a frenzy online.

Plenty of fans have taken to social media to share their excitement over the $199 product, which is set to hit shelves this Saturday 13 September.

While the product is designed for children it has caused a stir among fans of Formula One with many sharing they are desperate to get their hands on one before they sell out.

Aston Martin Licensed F1 Go Kart

The product is a licensed Aston Martin F1 go kart designed for kids which matches the cars driven by the popular team in the prestigious motorsports competition.

"Has anybody else seen what is coming to Aldi Australia," F1 content creator Danii Clarkson said in a TikTok video of the new product.

"Look at this, its even got the Pirelli tyres. I'm obsessed," she added as she showed photos of the go kart on Aldi's website.

"Maybe I'll just go and buy that instead of sitting through the AUSGP ticket war again, I'll go line up with all the Aldi mums outside and get this Go Kart. It's so cute."

In the comment section of the TikTok, plenty of others were thrilled by Aldi's foray into the F1 world with the new kids' product.

"Do I have a kid? No. Would I still buy it? Yes," one person commented.

"Omg wait. I want it," commented another.

Another sports fan named Lavender Baj also shared news of the soon-to-be-released product to her account.

"Hey @aldiaustralia can u pls save me one of these, I fear I will actually die if I don't get my hands on one," she wrote in the comment section.

Her followers were just as excited with one person commenting, "I want an adult-sized one."

The go kart, which has been advertised on Aldi's website ahead of its release, is battery operated with two motors.

It features Aston Martin's well-known branding and also includes an independent accelerator and brake, working front and rear lights and a multifunctional central control module, according to the website's description.

It is advertised for children over the age of three and has a maximum weight capacity of 50 kilograms.
