Emily Skye on her years with depression: "I struggled pretty badly"
Emily Skye is the perfect example of the fact depression - and other mental health issues - doesn't discriminate.
Thanks to her subscription fitness program, the Gold Coast trainer has millions of followers to her name and the title of Forbes magazine’s third top fitness influencer.
Looking at her sunny Instagram photos, you’d never assume Skye had suffered from the mental illness estimated to impact one million Aussies each year.

“Now I think back to that and see it’s so important to talk about things, especially with young girls.
“A lot of people feel ashamed to have these feelings, but it’s actually a lot more common than we think. If we talked about it more, maybe we could help more people.”
