Donald Trump appears to snub Melania in recent social media post

Donald Trump appears to have snubbed his wife Melania with one of his recent social media posts.

The former US president shard the post on Mother's Day on May 14, but failed to mention Melania, 53, mother of his youngest son Barron, 17.

Trump, 76, took the the social media platform Truth Social to say: "Happy Mother's Day to ALL, in particular to the Mothers, Wives and Lovers of the Radical Left Fascists, Marxists, and Communists who are doing everything within their power to destroy and obliterate our once great Country.

Trump not only failed to mention Melania, he also failed to mention the mothers of his older children – the late Ivana Trump, who is mother to his three oldest children Ivanka, Donald Jr and Eric, and Marla Maples, mother of Tiffany.

Melania recently broke her silence over her husband's 2024 presidential run, saying it would be a "privilege" to serve as US first lady again.

She told Fox News Digital that if she has the "privilege" of returning to the role, she would use that time to focus on initiatives prioritising the wellbeing and development of children to ensure "they have the support and resources" to "reach their full potential."

"My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again," she added.
