Two dogs adopted by same owner after jumping over pet shelter wall to be closer to each other

Two dogs have been adopted from a US shelter as a pair after viral footage showed them jumping the walls to be closer together. 

In the most pawfect outcome imaginable, the pit bull terriers, Brenda and Linda, have found their forever home – together!

Earlier this month, Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (MACC) shared the security footage tape of the dogs' covert wall-jumping antics. 

In the video, Brenda can be seen scaling her way over the five foot cement wall to be in the same pen as Linda.

The two dogs had apparently arrived at the shelter around the same time and had become the best of friends.

Now, the shelter has shared a video to TikTok revealing the pit bulls will be together forever after being adopted by the same couple.

"Brenda and Linda found their furever home TOGETHER! Thank you to all of our frens who shared to make this pawsible for them", the video caption read. 

The short video starts by showing the security footage tape that started it all before switching to show the happy dogs as they make their way out of the reception area with their new parents. 

Blair Foy, a marketing and communications manager for Minneapolis, told People it was "heartwarming" to see the community response to the video. 

She added how sweet it was that the dogs would now have "a chance to have a new family forever, and that they get to be together". 

The video has amassed over 3000 views with comments from people excited to celebrate the wonderful turn of events. 

"So happy for them and their new family," one person commented. 

"God blessing the people for adopting from a pound," one person said. "Blessings and prayers even more for adopting special friends. You saved two lives!!"

Another shared their congratulations and stated "only good things from now on". 

"Warms my heart", one comment read, adding that for owners finding their perfect pet, "when you know…you just know".
