Woman almost banned from social media over dating profile photo
A woman has almost had one of her social media profiles banned over a "graphic" photo she also uses on her dating profiles.
Shelby Daune, 30, from Oregon in the US, shared a video on TikTok taking viewers through her Bumble and Hinge profiles.
One of the photos was taken during a trip to Edinburgh Castle where she posed with a swordsman who suggested pretending he had beheaded her.
Daune thought it was a brilliant idea and shares the resulting photo often, including on her dating profiles.

Daune was shocked to discover the video was under review on the social media platform. TikTok
It was then that she discovered the video had been removed from TikTok. She explained in a follow up video: "I posted a video showing what's on my dating profiles and it got removed for violent and graphic content. And now it's being reviewed.

It was during a trip to Scotland that the offending photo eventuated. TikTok
It was her TikTok followers who pointed out what the problem may have been, with one commenting: "Lol, getting beheaded by a Scotsman probably did it."
"The beheading picture," another agreed.
At this point Daune responds: "Oh sh-t probably."
Another TikToker responds: "It was the decapitation. Oh man, context people. TT needs to figure out CONTEXT."
"I feel that the beheading picture might be considered slightly violent," one person says.
"I wish I had watched it first," another says.

Well, they were in luck because after the review process TikTok decided to allow the video with the beheading photo, although Daune may want to reconsider using it in her dating profiles.
This is unlikely, however, as she continues to be thrilled with the experience, explaining exactly how it eventuated in a longer video.
She explained that she and her friend were at the castle in Scotland when the swordsman suggested taking the photo and even he loved the result.

"He lays me on the ground, tells me to put my hands behind my back and lifts my hood over my head," she explained. "He goes back into this bucket thing, puts this fake decapitated head away from me and tells my friend how to get the right angle.
"I'm giggling so bad at this point. He's giggling. We're having a good time. It's just funny."
She describes it as "one of the best experiences of the whole trip" and a "memory I will cherish forever."
