Conservative columnist claims Elon Musk is father of her baby

A conservative columnist has claimed that Elon Musk is the father of her baby.

Posting on social media, author Ashley St. Clair released a statement claiming that the Tesla Motors CEO is the father of the baby she welcomed five months ago.

The full statement reads:

"Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.

"I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honour our child's privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting."

Alongside the image containing the statement, she included the caption, "Alea Iacta Est", translating to "The die is cast", which is a variation of the Latin phrase that is attributed to Julius Caesar. It is used nowadays to indicate that events have passed a point of no return.

St. Clair is known as a right-wing political commentator, particularly for being a social media influencer on X, formerly Twitter.

She is also the author of children's book Elephants Are Not Birds, which is a "Christian, Conservative children's book that tackles the topic of gender identity," according to it's Amazon listing.

Musk is confirmed to be the father of twelve children.

He first became a father in 2002 when he welcomed son Nevada with Canadian author Justine Wilson, though he passed away at just ten weeks old. They then went on to welcome twins Vivian and Griffin and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian.

In 2020 he welcomed a son with singer Grimes named X Æ A-12, and went on to welcome two more children, a girl, Exa Dark Sideræl, and a boy, Techno Mechanicus.

Weeks prior to Techno's birth, Musk fathered twins named Strider and Azure with Shivon Zilis, an executive at one of his companies, Neuralink. The news of the children were revealed in court documents published by Insider. They again welcomed another baby in early 2024, though it's name and gender are unknown.

Musk is yet to respond to the claims.
