New twist in Coldplay kiss cam saga as Kristin Cabot reveals ex-husband was also at the infamous concert

Kristin Cabot, the woman at the centre of the Coldplay 'kiss cam' debacle that shook the internet last year, has revealed a surprising new layer to the drama.

In a new interview, the now-former Chief People Officer at tech company Astronomer said her estranged husband, Andrew Cabot, had been present at the very same concert she and CEO Andy Byron had attended.

"I was walking into the concert, and my daughter messaged me and said, 'It's so great that you and Andrew are both at Coldplay,'" Cabot told Oprah Winfrey on her self-titled podcast.

She went as far as alleging her husband, who she was separated from at the time, had actually been there with his own date.

She recalled wondering whether it would be "weird" if Andrew saw her at the concert with Byron.

"But then I was like, 'I'm in Gillette Stadium, there's 55,000 people here, I'm probably not going to run into him,'" she added.

She went on to say that if her estranged husband had spotted her at the event, he likely "wouldn't have been fazed."

"He knows how closely [my boss] and I worked together, he knows we socialised – like, got lunches and got drinks. It was fine," she explained.

"He knows the nature of my work and the relationships. I've shared desks with the CEOs I've worked with, it's just a very close relationship, and so it didn't matter."

Cabot and Byron's respective lives imploded last year after the infamous video of the two ducking out of sight of the kiss cam went viral

The resulting fallout led to both resigning from their high-level roles at Astronomer.

Cabot's husband later came out with a statement to PEOPLE, with his rep revealing they were "privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert."

After the viral fallout died down, Cabot disappeared as she tried to piece her life back together.

That is, until recently, when it was announced she would be a keynote speaker at the PR Crisis Comms conference in Washington.

The event is selling tickets for $1254 (US$875) a pop, with the website stating it's expected to unite 200 professionals for "networking, inspiration and lessons".

The conference stands to make $250,000 if it sells out; however, according to some US media outlets Cabot won't actually be paid for her keynote speech.

Her discussion will centre around how she and her PR representative "took control" of the narrative circulating about her online, in a bid to "re-write" her story.
