British TV presenter shares candid breast cancer surgery video

A British TV presenter has shared a candid video of her about to have surgery for breast cancer.

Sky News host Jacquie Beltrao posted the video, depicting her in her hospital gown, on Instagram and Twitter before an operation to remove her lymph nodes.

It's the second time the former Olympic gymnast, 55, has been diagnosed with cancer.

"So here I am, operation 'clear out your lymph nodes'," she said.

"Oh God, I feel like I've been here before, it's because I have. I'm okay."

Beltrao showed her compression socks, saying, "It's the hospital look and I'm trying to rock it."

The mother-of-three said she was "worried" but was "in really good hands," adding it was a short operation.

"I'll speak to you when I wake up but wish me luck."

She later posted a photo of herself after the surgery, saying it "went well."

Beltrao found a lump on her collar bone and was told she had stage four breast cancer last year, six years after recovering.

She had announced the news in a video on social media.

She recalled the doctor's phone call to The Sun.

"He said, 'I'm really sorry — it's cancer again. We need to move quickly'," she said.

"It was like a kick in the guts.

"I ran up the stairs to Eduardo, who was on a work call, and I just said, 'End the call, end the call'.

"I told him, 'The cancer's back, I can't believe it. And it's much worse than last time'.

"We were floored. There were tears. I was saying, 'How has this happened to me again?'"

Beltrao said while she was "angry" at first, she was also positive, saying, "I have to believe that I can fight this cancer and keep going."
