A newlywed bride has taken to the internet in a rage after her mother-in-law totally overstepped boundaries on her wedding night.

Sharing the unbelievable situation on Reddit, the woman revealed that her mother-in-law actually stayed in their wedding night suite.

You read that right – the groom's mum invited herself to the bride and groom's suite, though thankfully it was while they weren't there.

The bride wrote that she and her groom got married last Saturday at a small inn, where they had booked a luxe suite for their wedding night.

Of course, they had booked it for their own use, but the bride's mother-in-law had different ideas.

She was planning to stay at the inn, in a different room, the night before the wedding.

But on the morning of the big day she told the bride she had taken it upon herself to test out the wedding night suite.

"I had my own room last night, but I didn't feel like walking up the stairs so I stayed in you [groom's] room," the bride's mother-in-law supposedly told her.

"The bed is really comfortable, and I think you'll like the jacuzzi tub!'

The bride said she was "incredibly grossed out" to know her mother-in-law had slept in their bed and used the jacuzzi meant for her and her groom.

She checked in with the groom, who was also "incredibly disgusted" by what his mother had done, and both assumed she had "bullied the owner into giving her a key" to their suite.

But given the mother-in-law actually booked and paid for both inn rooms, the bride confessed she had suspicions this was her mother-in-law's plan all along.

"I'm suspicious that she never really booked herself a different room that night at all," she wrote.

The bride added that her mother-in-law can be "incredibly pushy and aggressive" so she doesn't doubt the woman could get her way with the hotel staff.

Regardless, the knowledge put a huge damper on the newlywed couple's night in their wedding suite.
