Boris Johnson and wife Carrie announce name of baby daughter
Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie have announced the name of their baby daughter, Romy Iris Charlotte Johnson.
She is the second child the UK Prime Minister has with Carrie, his third wife, following the birth of their son Wilfred in April, 2020.
Carrie shared the name on Instagram, explaining Romy was chosen for her aunt Rosemarie, Iris for the Greek word for "rainbow" and Charlotte to remember Johnson's late mother.

She has previously described her daughter as a "rainbow baby", a term for a child born after a miscarriage.
Carrie also shared a photo of her daughter inside a basket as their son looked on.
The Prime Minister announced the name to reporters while on a visit to a COVID-19 vaccination centre in Kent.

The couple announced the birth of their daughter last Thursday.
At the time, a spokesman for the Johnsons said: "Both mother and daughter are doing very well. The couple would like to thank the brilliant NHS maternity team for all their care and support."
They married in a secret wedding in May.

Their son Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson was born in April last year. He was named partly in tribute to two doctors, Nick Hart and Nick Price, who helped save the Prime Minister's life when he was admitted to hospital with COVID-19.
Johnson, 57, has four children with his former wife, barrister Marina Wheeler, and with art consultant Helen Macintyre, with whom he had an affair while he was mayor of London in 2009.
