A curated collection of the best dad jokes around
Dad jokes gallery
With Father's Day this Sunday, dads are taking centre stage.
And we all know what happens when you give a dad a microphone... dad jokes galore.
Some are OK, most are awful, but every now and then a dad will manage to tell a joke that - miraculously - manages to make you laugh.
Now, if you want to have more laughter this Father's Day and less cringing followed by a long, drawn out, "daaddd," we've got just the thing for you.
Welcome to 9honey's favourite dad jokes to help make your dad just a little bit funnier.
Now, be prepared for puns. Be prepared for niche references. And maybe even be prepared for a little bit of cringe.
But, as far as dad jokes go, these are some of the best.
Keep scrolling if you dare.
Anyone under the age of 10 probably won't get this one.
"I got carded at a liquor store, and my Blockbuster card accidentally fell out. The cashier said never mind."
Be careful next time you want Dad to help look after the cat.
You: "Dad, can you put the cat out?"
Dad: "I didn't know it was on fire."
Only a dad joke could ruin everyone's favourite salad.
Dad: "What do you say when a chicken is looking at salad?"
You: "I don't know."
Dad: "Chicken sees a salad."
Now, use your imagination for this one. Picture yourself in the car, driving past a cemetery.
Dad (while pointing at the cemetary): "Look, it's the dead centre of town. People are just dying to get in there. But did you know nobody who lives around here is allowed to be buried there?
You: Why?
Dad: "Because you aren't allowed to bury people who are still living.
Again, use your imagination. Picture yourself walking past some hibiscus flowers. You'll probably never do it again.
"Oh, those are the hibiscus…
"And those are the low-biscus."
This one loses points for the repetition. But it gains them back because of the comedy.
"Why did the man fall down the well?
"Because he didn't see that well"
Your dad is banned from using this one if he wears velcro shoes.
"I wouldn't buy anything with velcro. It's a total rip-off."
Mental note: never leave the itinerary up to dad.
"As I get older, I remember all of the people I lost along the way...
Maybe a career as a tour guide wasn't the right choice."
Dads into geography love this one.
You: "What country's capital is growing the fastest?"
Dad: "Ireland. Every day it's Dublin."
