Baby flower girl sleeps through wedding

Weddings can be exhausting, especially if you’re a six-month-old that’s been given the important role of flower girl in your aunt’s wedding.

Rugbie Morman decided there was one thing even more important than her aunt walking down the aisle on her big day, and that was a nap.

The sleepy flower girl was so exhausted she fell asleep before the ceremony kicked off, but thanks to a mini-kart that also functioned as a portable bed, was still able to take part.

A photo posted by her dad Joe Morman to Reddit shows Rugbie fast asleep in a hilarious sleeping position, safely strapped into a little white kart.

Joe wrote, “My daughter was supposed to be a flower girl in her aunt’s wedding, but napping is life.”

He explained to Yahoo Lifestyle that despite his best efforts, Joe couldn’t get the sleep beauty to awaken from her slumber.

“About 20 minutes before the wedding she was getting tired, so I was holding her and singing to her so she would go to sleep and get a quick little power nap in before the wedding,” he said. 

“But when it came time for the wedding, she wouldn’t wake up for nothing. 

“She would open her eyes and look around then pass right back out.” 

Rugbie’s seven-year-old sister Alexandria was also in the wedding procession, though slightly more alert than her baby sister whose slow ride she followed through the church. 

But, as Joe told Yahoo Lifestyle, the tiny flower girl managed to come to for show-time, waking herself at the end of her dream ride to the altar.

“As soon as the wagon got to the end of the aisle and I picked her up, she was bright-eyed and ready to go,” he said.
