An Aussie teenager has made a surprising yet delightful find while cutting up an orange.

Sarah Espinoza, from Western Australia was preparing the fruit using her preferred method, which she tells 9honey is to "cut the bottom first and then on the top, then I cut it into half and then three more slices"

It was after making that first cut on the bottom of the orange that the 14-year-old discovered what resembled a smiling face.

Sarah says she loves sport and drama as well as acting and has been learning ventriloquism, inspired by Darcey Lynn who performed on America's Got Talent.

"I was amazed," she says. "I didn't know she was like singing. I thought she was just like holding a recorder. And then like, she's not, the puppet's singing."
