Andrew Johns shares support for marriage equality in Instagram post
NRL star Andrew Johns has shared his support for marriage equality with an old photo of himself planting a kiss on former Newcastle Knights teammate Billy Peden.
Beneath the photo, posted on Instagram on Sunday night, Johns wrote that he and Peden would be voting ‘yes’ in the marriage equality postal survey.
“Two boys from Cessnock will be voting yes,” he wrote, adding, “Ha ha sorry Bill.”
“I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions. but personally, I will not support gay marriage,” 28-year-old Folau tweeted.

The Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey began earlier this month, with voting forms continuing to be mailed out this week.
A number of Australian sporting codes and teams, including the Wallabies, Cricket Australia and the Football Federation, have publicly pledged their support for the 'yes' campaign.
