The loved-up couples competing at the Olympic Games Paris 2024
As an athlete, the only thing surely better than having your special someone cheering you on from the sidelines is having them right there competing with you.
For these sport stars heading to Paris with their significant other, that is exactly the case.
From couples competing for rival nations to romances across different sports, here are some of the athletes of Paris who also happen to be in a relationship.

Marena Whittle and Anneli Maley
Aussie basketballers Marena Whittle and Anneli Maley aren't just teammates on the women's 3x3 team – they're also an engaged couple.
The power couple from Perth have been together for five years and just put a ring on their relationship last year.
But now the Gangurrus stars are taking on a new feat in their romance – vying for a medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Maley shared their engagement news to social media in a heartwarming Instagram post in April 2023.
"Last night, under the stars and in a place that is so special to us, the love of my life said she'd spend the rest of her life with me," the basketballer wrote.
"This is my favourite human ever and we're gonna make it official, forever 💕"
Rossella Fiamingo and Gregorio Paltrinieri
Italian sport power couple Rossella Fiamingo and Gregorio Paltrinieri have already taken home medals from Paris in the same day.
Paltrinieri scored a bronze medal in the men's 800m freestyle while his partner Fiamingo got the gold for fencing.
"Two is megl the one ✨❤️" the pair, who are reportedly engaged, captioned a joint Instagram selfie showing off their medals from Paris.

Speaking to Olympics.com after their double medal win in Paris, Fiamingo said "one wasn't enough".
"We both wanted to be happy with our performances," she said.
Over the years the pair have posted pics from their life together, including spending Christmas together in 2023 and cheering on each other's respective wins.
João Chianca and Luana Silva
João Chianca and Luana Silva are another couple hailing from the same sport and representing the same country at this year's Olympic Games.
The Brazilian surfers – 23 and 24-years-old respectively – are both currently catching waves in Tahiti where the 2024 Olympic surfing is taking place.

In May the pair celebrated one year together with Silva marking the occasion on Instagram.
"My love and best friend. A year full of love," she wrote in a translated message along with a cute picture of the pair.
Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur
Aussie tennis star Alex de Minaur has found love with another player in the sport, Great Britain's Katie Boulter.
The tennis power couple went public with their romance in 2021.
Over in Paris, De Minaur dropped out of the singles event and recently lost with his partner Alexei Popyrin in the doubles to Team USA.
Meanwhile his girlfriend's Olympic hopes aren't quite over yet, having advanced to the women's quarter finals at the time of writing.
Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt
No one is prouder of Lee Kiefer for taking home the Olympic gold medal for fencing than her husband and fellow team USA fencer Gerek Meinhardt.
"MY INCREDIBLE WIFE IS A BACK-TO-BACK OLYMPIC CHAMPION!!!!" Meinhardt excitedly wrote to Instagram.
"Words can't express how proud I am of her... I knew she could do it. She knew she could do it. But actually doing the damn thing, and moreover, doing it two times, in two completely different environments…" his heartwarming post continued.
The Olympic win is that much more special considering it's where the couple met over a decade ago.
Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt
Kiefer and Meinhardt first connected while competing in London for the 2012 games.
After seven years together, they finally tied the knot in 2019.
The fencing power couple have now attended four Olympic Games together, including Paris this year.
