The high-tech household cleaning item that works even when you're not there

Far be it from me to suggest you stock up on toilet paper this week, but if you were so inclined, this would be the week to do it with at least two of our favourite grocery retailers offering great specials.

But that's not even the most exciting thing I have to tell you when it comes to supermarket specials this week.

This week it's all about the Ecovac Robot Vacuum Cleaner at Aldi which at $399 operates via smart phone app.

That means you can clean your floors while you aren't even there!

There's a lot to love about New Zealand... Jacinda Ardern, the ski fields, the people, chocolate Minties, Perky Nanas... and Friendly Grocer, a budget grocery store that originated in NZ expanded to include our humble shores offering affordable groceries in most areas.

This week there's a lot to love about The Friendly Grocer and this week they are snack central with family bags of Smiths chips selling for $2.50 per bag and Shapes for $1.75 per box.

Woolies

Now, I don't want to start anything, but Woolies is selling 30-packs of toilet tissue for $13 while stocks last. Just one each, thank you. 30 rolls is plenty for any family. All their Swiss vitamins are half-price too this week so that's something you can stock up on because vitamins can get pretty pricey.

Aldi

There's a lot to love about Greek food and if you are yet to experience the delight of Greek delicacies, now is the time to try them all because Aldi has them on special all week. You can get beautiful jars of olives 1.6 kilos for $9, Onassis Greek Vegetables for $2.99, Greek Almond Cookies for $5.99 and Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil for $6.99 for a litre and tinned Dolmades $2.49.

And as Aldi is prone to do, they have something truly special on offer so you can enjoy your Greek delicacies in a nice, clean home, with specials on vacuum cleaners as long as stocks last including an Ecovac Robot Vacuum Cleaner for $399 which operates through an app on your smart phone.

I've already started stocking up on chocolate Easter eggs to give to family come Easter time and yes, I keep on eating them, so I have to buy more and more and more. Thankfully, Coles understands my pain and are there for me. They are selling Easter chocolate at awesome prices this week including Cadbury Easter bunny chocolates for $2 each.

They even have them in Caramilk! Yum!

IGA

At IGA this week you'll find all the sandwich fixings you can think of at discount prices and if your kids are anything like mine, they like quite a few slices of deli meats in their fresh sandwiches, not to mention thick slices of salty tomatoes and sometimes two slices of cheese, depending on the size of bread slices you are using. That includes Don deli meats 100 grams for $2.80 each and Coon sliced cheese 250 grams $4.60.

Then there are delicious Aussie seedless grapes for dessert.
