Aldi has revamped its famous Advent calendar Special Buys just in time for Christmas
You heard it, the German retailer is back with its famous Christmas-edition Special Buys, and they've given their usual Advent calendars a makeover.
As December draws closer, Aldi has released their revamped collection of Advent calendars, as well as all the festive buys shoppers know and love, available from Wednesday, October 20.
The number one new item catching our eye is the retailer's luxurious 12-day LACURA skincare calendar.

The "LACURA Skin Science Caviar Illumination 12 Day Advent Calendar" is packed with products that use an "anti-ageing caviar extract" to stimulate collagen and reduce signs of ageing.
It contains a day cream, night cream, eye mousse, intensive serum, intensive mask, overnight mask and six "intensive treatment" ampoules for day and night.
Next on the list is the 25-day Vittoria Coffee calendar which picks from the company's range of 18 locally roasted blends and single origins of arabica coffee.

With 25 capsules inside, the capsules are also Nespresso machine compatible.
But to make sure no one gets left behind, the retailer has also come out with a 24-day coffee capsule calendar for EXPRESSI machine owners.

For the kids, Aldi has branched out from the usual chocolate and lolly-filled calendars to something a little more interesting.
For the Harry Potter fanatics, there is a Harry Potter Lego calendar for $39.99, which features 24 different lego toys and figures.
As kids count down the days to Christmas, they can recreate some famous Holiday scenes from the series using each collectible toy.

On top of this, there is also a range of storybook calendars for kids.
For $17.99, shoppers can grab a calendar that features 24 different storybooks from a number of famous series, including Marvel and Disney.
A heads up, there's even an exclusive Frozen calendar which is sure to sell out fast.

As well as these new choices, there are also a number of chocolate and lolly Advent calendars to enjoy.
This includes separate Cadbury, Chupa Chup and Trolli calendars, and Disney Princess and Mickey Mouse themed chocolate calendars as well.
As well as treats, Special Buyers can expect a number of exciting Christmas-themed decorations to lay about the house.

The retailer has released a list of light-up and musical "Christmas scenes", to bring some festivity to your home.
Ranging from $40 to $100, these fun decorations range from simple light-up pieces, to train sets and even a revolving carousel.

There is also a special online exclusive for shoppers.
A $129 'Winterhaus Resort' Christmas scene will be available which features coloured lights, music and moving villagers in a lively Christmas ski village.

There are also the retailer's usual range of Christmas treats, from their famous marzipan Stollen Bites, to the Pfeffernüsse gingerbread biscuits.
For rum ball lovers, there will be packets of authentic German rum balls to keep an eye out for, all covered in chocolate sprinkles.

Eyes might also catch the new Mozartkugeln marzipan-filled chocolates, which seem a perfect treat to keep around when it comes time to entertain.
An "Austrian speciality", these treats are filled with pistachio and almond marzipan, as well as hazelnut praline, and then covered in dark and milk chocolate.
Adding a bit of competition to the mix is news of Coles' own Christmas range for 2021.
The supermarket has unveiled a list of 150 products to suit every lively Christmas table, from mac 'n cheese bites to glazed mousse logs and cheeseburger spring rolls.

Chef and restaurateur Luke Mangan and Coles ambassador and TV cooking alumnus Courtney Roulston have 9Honey Kitchen a rundown of what else shoppers can expect.
As well as Christmas staples, like free-range Turkey and glazed legs of ham, Coles will release some original nibblies and entrées.

These include butter chicken curry puffs and chicken Kiev bites and an expanded gourmet cheese range for cheese-board lovers.
Spanish truffle sheep's milk cheese, French cave-aged Roquefort or aged goat's gouda are some of the tasty flavours shoppers can expect to find in the fridges.

For centrepiece plates, the range will also offer a whole duck, a turducken and "cushioned" turkeys — which is boneless and stuffed with truffled mushroom risotto to help it stay moist.
