Hiker's perfect yoga moment turns into spectacular fail

Dannielle Maguire

This one goes out to anyone who has ever tried to take a ripper Insta photo and completely mucked it up.

So… this one goes out to all of us.

Chisa Tolbertson was out in the beautiful Colorado wilderness one day and thought the stunning natural scenery would make for the perfect backdrop for a sweet yoga video.

So she set up her phone and got into position on a log over a bubbling river.

And good grief it did not go well.

A slight overbalance sent her tumbling into the water and washed her downstream.

Not exactly Zen.

But thankfully, it wasn't as nasty as it looked.

"I only broke a few nails while trying to climb out of the water," Tolbertson told Pickle.

"Luckily that was mainly my only injury aside from my bruised ego."

So what exactly was she trying to do?

Something kind of like this:

"Admittedly it was one of those things where I saw somebody else do the same variation with a bent leg and I just thought it looked really pretty and that I'd try it out myself," she told us.

But while some of us may have climbed out of the water and deleted the source of our shame, she decided it was too good not to see the light of social media, posting it to her Twitter account @Chisamariee.

She posted the video back in May, but because of the warped nature of the internet it only bubbled to the surface this week.

Suddenly it was everywhere – even on the front pages of Reddit.

"I honestly didn't expect it to be noticed by anybody other than my friends" Tolbertson said.

"I'm absolutely shocked that it's getting the attention that it is but I'm kinda beside myself with laughter about it.

"It's funny reading through everyone's comments but unfortunately for every person with a wicked sense of humour there's somebody saying I deserved to die or saying really creepy, sexual and unnecessary things."

But despite this, she's keeping a good sense of humour about it all.
