Grandpa comes heartbreakingly close to winning $1 million only to lose it all

This is pretty hard to swallow.

A grandfather and granddaughter have become the latest victims of gameshow disappointment and good grief is it upsetting.

Appearing on the US version of Wheel of Fortune, Frank and Laurel came ridiculous close to pocketing a cool $1 million.

But they were a few letters off.

The idea was right.

The foods are basically the same.

But woe is us, they had to go with fried over baked.

And while that decision can gradually lead to cardia-related diseases for most people, in this case it cost them one million smackeroos.

Video of this heartbreaking loss was uploaded to YouTube by someone who goes by the username spartya19.

It was appropriately called wheel of fortune sad, and has already attracted more than 88,000 views since Wednesday.

Also, we're just going to point out that apparently it's Grandparents' Week on Wheel of Fortune and holy cheese that's an excellent idea.
