Dennis Rodman bursts into tears during interview about the Trump-Kim summit
Global politics is getting weird, man.
US president Donald Trump is meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un in Singapore, with the pair nutting out how to avoid a global nuclear catastrophe.
And that’s pretty big news.
But, somehow, one of the biggest talking points to come out of the historical meeting is former pro basketballer Dennis Rodman crying during an interview on CNN.
He was speaking with Chris Cuomo from Singapore, after jetting over to… “to see what's going on”.
At one point, Rodman burst into tears talking about the backlash he faced at home in the US for meeting with the North Korean dictator.

The bizarre interview has since gone viral, giving birth to a whole heap of Twitter zingers.
This is the most recent chapter in Rodman’s book of “basketball diplomacy”.
He famously went to North Korea in 2013 with the Harlem Globetrotters, returning twice more that year to hang out with Kim, who was a long time fan of the athlete.
As we learned from an article from Siobhán O'Grady at The Washington Post, the man known as “The Worm” apparently even held Kim’s baby daughter.
He went back in 2017, when he sponsored by PotCoin, and gave Kim a copy of Trump’s book The Art of the Deal.

Rodman says he’s good mates with Trump, appearing on the former reality star’s show Celebrity Apprentice in 2009 (he was fired for spelling Melania’s name wrong).
