Man’s shaky vision of a ‘UFO’ was actually an extremely identifiable flying object

We love a good UFO video.

We love the drama, we love the shakiness and we love the extremely mundane explanations that eventually emerge.

And this video has all that in spades – especially the shakiness.

It was uploaded to YouTube by a bloke called Jason Swing, who called the clip: UFO At work and saw this mooresville nc lake norman.

Lake Norman, for a bit of background, is located in North Carolina, not far from the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord.

The video is dated May 29 but, as we learned from a yarn from Mark Price at The Charlotte Observer, it only started attracting attention in recent days after it was reposted on the The Hidden Underbelly 2.0 YouTube channel last week.

And you can see why it started going a wee bit viral.

“It had been raining all morning,” Swing said in his video description.

“Rain finally stopped so we went w pick up a boat from Lake Norman.

“When came around the corner I saw this thing sitting still very close.”

The video stated being shared on social media, before being picked up by major broadcasters such as NBC.

But, as the video gained notoriety, it attracted the attention of the folk running the Goodyear Blimp twitter account.

And apparently the blimp was in the area that day.

In a series of tweets that are now being published by mastheads such as The New York Post, the team confirmed that this UFO was, in fact, an extremely identifiable flying object.

As it turns out, the blimp was hovering above a motorway event nearby and it looks like Sling caught the aircraft on its way home.

However, despite this seemingly logical explanation, Swing seemed unconvinced in an interview with Inside Edition, which published on Wednesday.

“I never seen a blimp that looked like that,” he said.
