We've all seen enough crappy slapstick family "comedies" to know what could come next.

When you take into account the fact that this video was posted to Reddit with the caption "yay, I did the thing", you can just smell the sarcasm.

And because of the way the world's going, we're all primed to think expect the worst.

In fact, some would say it's an excellent life motto, as it protects you from the inevitable disappointment life brings.
