Trampoline centre’s disturbing safety video is freaking out British kids

We think we’ve found a new favourite genre of video: the emotionally-scarring safety messages directed at children.

And this one right here is the perfect example of what we mean.

It comes to you from Total Adrenaline, a trampoline centre in the UK.

The safety message warns children about the dangers of being a little stinker on the trampolines, which apparently can result in broken bones, paralysis and death.

Featuring doomed cartoon figures, the video demonstrates the horrifying outcomes that can result from reckless bouncing.

It was brought to our attention by a report in the Manchester Evening News from UK journo Emma Gill on Wednesday.

The report features claims from parents who say their children are refusing to go on trampolines after watching the “scarring” video.

Amy Fletcher told Gill her six-year-old son Finlay was terrified after seeing it.

“He burst in to tears and said he didn't want to die,” Fletcher said.

And in little Finlay’s defence, the clip doesn’t make bouncing appear all that fun.

The video features kids’ legs snapping off, with a delightfully macabre screaming sound effect punctuating their bouncing boo boos.

There’s even a strangely-cute depiction of a child diving into an air bag head-first, presumably breaking his neck.

This is accompanied by a warning this could cause “instant death”.

The trampoline centre’s operations director Reg Patel said it was important to inform people about the safety risks.

“We recognise it's a bit strong with some of the sounds but we need to get the message across that it can be a dangerous environment if they're not careful,” he said.

“We're not trying to take the fun away but there's no fun spending time in [the hospital].”
